Postpartum — Relationships — Recovery
Due to unforeseen complications post-birth and challenges during my postpartum transition, I feel called to help women pick up the pieces of their lives and selves after being initiated into motherhood. I have translated my passion for working with new moms and couples into a specialty in my practice. I attended a conference through Maternal Mental Health Now, and I have completed the online certificate training with Postpartum Support International (PSI) and the 2020 Mom Project. I also run a weekly postpartum support circle for new moms called Life After Birth.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC # 87373), I have extensive training and experience working with the dynamics of couples and families. Out of all of the clients I've worked with, I've never met anyone who didn't want to have a satisfying relationship. I'm passionate about working with couples and helping them navigate life transitions and untying the knots of impasses. Couples therapy is also a great insurance investment for the relationship.
My additional specialties include codependency issues, as well as substance use and co-occurring disorders such as depression and anxiety. I have worked as a both a family and primary therapist at different drug and alcohol treatment centers since 2014—most recently Promises Treatment Center.
